ABOUT ABOUT

Come to The Stray for an evening featuring three young bands defining the West MI rock scene: Sebastian and The Mood, Low Phase, & The American Hotel System. This date coincides with the release of The American Hotel System's upcoming live album titled, Where My Soul Has Been!

Doors 6:30pm // Show: 7pm

Sebastian and the Mood desire to light up the stage with dynamic shows that invite the audience to venture with them in an exhilarating experience. Based out of Holland, Michigan, the band is made up of Sebastian (guitar and vocals), Noe (drums), David (bass), and Tyler (lead guitar). All band members grew up in their small hometown but never had the opportunity to co-create music until recently when the universe decided to unite them together. Each band member presents a unique musical journey that paints the vibe of the music. However, they will always be sad boys at heart so a lot of the early musical influence comes from bands like My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Blink-182, Fall Out Boy, The Killers, and Bruce Springsteen.

Grand Rapids locals, Low Phase, are an indie-rock band with subtle influences of nineties rock and indie-pop woven throughout their music. The band comprises Caleb Waldvogel (guitar), Marley Ferguson (guitar), John Bomer (bass), and Miles Ferguson (drums). Together, the members create a unique, youthful, catchy sound that you’re sure to enjoy.

The American Hotel System is a rock band from Grand Rapids, Michigan that aims to provoke the mind through heartfelt lyrics and intentional musicality while exploring themes of love, loneliness and politics.
