ABOUT ABOUT

Join us for a fantastic evening of music featuring the western swing band, The Chaparrals, a full band performance from Cameron Blake, and a special opening performance from dark folk band, Rabbit Fur!

Doors open 6:30 and performances start at 7pm. In addition to our craft beer, coffee and wine selection, our kitchen will be open serving our full dinner menu until 9pm! Get here early to snag your favorite seat and grab a bite to eat before the show begins.

Rebecca Rodriguez and Aaron Ekins are former members of the long running pop band The Icicles. They’ve left pop in the shadows with their new band, Rabbit Fur.

Occasionally joined by Anne LaGrand on cello and Matt Reidsma on mandolin, Rabbit Fur create somber, dark, folk music played with classical guitar, bass, dream like vocals and thoughtful sentiments.

All original songs written by Rabbit Fur.

Michigan at last has its Western Swing band, The Chaparrals. Lead by mandolinist/vocalist Brian Oberlin and hot shots from all over the area including Grant Flick (fiddle), Andy Henley (guitar), Andy Szumowski (pedal steel) and Chris Carr (bass). Expect the Chaparrals to play time-tested standards of Western Swing from the likes of Bob Wills, Tommy Duncan, Johnny Gimble, Tex Williams, Cliff Bruner, Floyd Tillman, Cindy Walker, Milton Brown and a generous offering of original music.

His most recent album Mercy for the Gentle Kind won a 2023 WYCE Jammie Award for ‘Folk Album of the Year’.
