Rebecca Rodriguez and Aaron Ekins are former members of the long running pop band The Icicles. They’ve left pop in the shadows with their new band, Rabbit Fur.
Occasionally joined by Anne LaGrand on cello and Matt Reidsma on mandolin, Rabbit Fur create somber, dark, folk music played with classical guitar, bass, dream like vocals and thoughtful sentiments.
All original songs written by Rabbit Fur.
Sound description:

Lead by mandolinist/vocalist Brian Oberlin and hot shots from all over the area including Grant Flick (fiddle), Andy Henley (guitar), Andy Szumowski (pedal steel) and Chris Carr (bass). Expect the Chaparrals to play time-tested standards of Western Swing from the likes of Bob Wills, Tommy Duncan, Johnny Gimble, Tex Williams, Cliff Bruner, Floyd Tillman, Cindy Walker, Milton Brown and a generous offering of original music.
